It’s all in the headline

May 14th, 2009 – 2:28 PM by Kevin Diaz

Politicians can be the toughest editors.

Minnesota Republican John Kline, a congressional hard-liner on matters of taxes and spending, saw fit Thursday to attempt a re-write a piece of Democratic legislation called the “21st Century Green High-Performing Public School Facilities Act.” Kline thought a more apt title would be “A Bill to Saddle Future Generations With Billions in Debt, And for Other Purposes.”

“The original title for the bill had a nice ring,” Kline explained on his congressional blog, “but it obscures the misplaced priorities of the bill.” President Obama’s massive stimulus package already contains funds to “green” our nation’s schools, he said.  No matter, Democrats preferred the ring of their own title. Kline’s title, proposed as an amendment on the House floor, was rejected.

Typical neocon response-criticise dem initiatives but offer no initiative of their own. Kline wants to change the title. Talk about change we can believe in. How about come up with a bill that embodies his vision for our nation’s schools?
Or would that be telling?

Two posts in 8 days…wow, I’m about to have a meltdown.

Funny that Kline didn’t propose that Bush’s budgets be given that name as well.

“A chimpanzee that mauled a Connecticut woman had the anti-anxiety drug Xan-ax in its system, according to toxicology tests………

……..Charla Nash on Feb. 16. She lost her hands, nose, lips and eyelids in the attack.”

Vomit,
I wonder if that lady was kosher.

I would have called it

“21st Century BS to line fat Al Gore’s carbon pockets with taxpayers money Act.”

I don’t think chimps maintain a kosher diet.

Neither do I. I had ham for dinner last night.

SgtPendleton Life isn’t fair neither is the press coverage.

Example..Lets have the truth hearings..and I’m going to be watching the nightly news and I see NO REASON this Pelois nonsense shouldn’t be the Number one story. You know and I know and everyone knows if these people had R’s behind their names it would be.

I want fairness. Fairness in society ( if this isn’t a hate crime then STOP with the hate crime laws. Its done for no other reason but politics)

Fairness with this so called torture stuff. I as a former democrat left the party because in 2004 they begin putting party over country ( plus the left wing peace freaks took over the party ) So I want Pelosi to be called on this.

Enough with the 60′s BS. This running around Bush lied Bush Lied is nothing more then these loser Baby Boomers trying to relive their past.

Sick of it!
