They have newspapers over there?

May 28th, 2009 – 1:02 PM by Kevin Diaz

If you read Haaretz or other media outlets in the Middle East, you might already know that Rep. Tim Walz, D-Minn., is in Syria today for talks with President Bashar Assad.

If you’re relying on your hometown paper, it may be news to you.

Why? Security reasons, House staffers say.  Someone in the State Department or the Pentagon must believe the bad guys only read the Star Tribune and other Minnesota publications, but not Haaretz and other news outlets in their own part of the world.

So once again, we find out about the whereabouts of our representatives in Congress through foreign media sources.

The same thing happened last month when Rep. John Kline, R-Minn., took part on an unannounced congressional delegation to Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Constituents in Minnesota remained in the dark until he came back. But not newspaper readers in Pakistan.

The Obamas have a terrible relationship with the Queen of England, Elizabeth Windsor. This is known. When they visited the Queen a few months ago, Barack Obama gave Her Majesty a “Touch iPod” loaded with hardc0re interracial p0rn0graphy films and swine flu. Michelle Obama, meanwhile, grabbed the Queen’s b00bs for at least 30 minutes. The whole affair was vulgar. And now look what’s up: Gordon Brown didn’t invite the Queen to a Normandy party in Nicolas Sarkozy’s country, and she is p1ssed. Why did Barack Obama insult the Queen like this?

“Why did Barack Obama insult the Queen like this? ”

Because she’s a Romanov.

“Because she’s a Romanov”

When in Romany do as the Romanians do.

Re..”So once again, we find out about the whereabouts of our representatives in Congress through foreign media sources.”

Better than finding out through hostage ransom demands of their kidnappers.

Jesus.

I’ll draw a picture. The Queenie has Romanov blood in her. The Romanovs where in power in Russia and where overthrown by the communist(I.E. Obama). Romanovs killed lots of communist. Thus the resentment.

“Jesus.”

Help those that have no appreciation for history. Amen.

“Romanovs killed lots of communist.”

Aye, but the communist(s) killed lots more Romanovs, and took over the country. I doubt that the communists feel resentfull about that.
BY the way, nice to see an Onionesque verion of history over here.

Oooooooops. Make that “version” of history.

Sorry dumb@ss, Elizabeth isn’t a Romanov, she’s a Saxe-Coburg. Alexandra Fyoderovna was her distant cousin — she married into the Romamov family.

Onionesque is right. Of course this is what happens when you let conservatives tell you about history.
