After four years, the Star Tribune political team has left The Big Question for a new blog: Hot Dish Politics. Please join us there and subscribe to the RSS and Twitter feeds for the latest in Minnesota politics.
Eric Roper,
Can you pull a few strings an get me un-banned? I really think being banned for calling Barney Frank the “Banking Queen”
was pretty harsh. That saying came from one of Rush Limbaugh’s parody songs. Liberals on the Strib blogs have said FAR more offensive things about Michele Bachmann and nothing happens to them.
Anyway, I would appreciate it if you could help with this matter since not all of us will be welcome at your new blog.
D2 you can blog anytime you want on the Star Tribune using your real name. Or don’t you subscribe?

adlib, I prefer to use the name I’ve used for years. Besides, my IP adress was banned, and I’m hoping the Eric Roper will help me out.
Well, it’s auf wiedersehen to the BQ, as most of us suspected. I saw this “Hot Dish” thing this morning and knew that the end had come for the old BQ.
BQ has been running on fumes for some time, and the unfortunate (unstated) decision to have its new focus apparently be weak tea Minnesota politics was not likely to generate much interest. When the nation faces one conservative-created catastrophe after another, “Hot Dishes” about Minnesota minutia aren’t all that delectable.
I’ve enjoyed most of the posters here, including a few of the conservative nitwits, although I certainly didn’t learn a single thing or gain any insight from any of them. How a group can be so clueless, irrational and poison-brained is quite remarkable.
I doubt I’ll be migrating over to “Hot Dish”, so thanks to the many demonic lib’ruls whose BQ posts were usually great—Dora, SgtP (OK, he’s some weird form of “conservative”), Adlib, TrueBlue, DD and all the others who have come and gone over the past years. Good work by all. Keep the faith, ha-ha.
And a note to Eric Roper—if you’re smart you’ll make sure to keep our beloved 2Dim banned permanently. Star-Tribbin’ is an addiction he needs to break—more wood splittin’ and less blog postin’ by 2Dim will benefit everyone–except the trees.
And taking my own advice, I can only contribute to Politics Ala Carte, or whatever the new forum is called, by using my Star Tribune subscriber identity instead of “adlib.” No thanks.
Too close to my real name. I hope I’ve not abused my anonymity.
As with Parthian I’ll take this opportunity to say farewell to the gemutlichkeit of the BQ and all the individuals whose pithy styles and perspectives I’ve come to recognize.
It has been fun, but I’m sure my retirement from this pasttime is long overdue.
Patisan, you would love a utopia of “lib only” bloggers, wouldn’t you!
As far cutting down trees, I’ve been doing an environmantal good deed by removing and burning disease infested Oak Wilt trees and helping to slow the soead of the disease, but I guess you wouldn’t comprehend that.
Adios!
Good-bye to the crappiest “blog” in the world.
Take care adlib, DD, DB, Dora, Parth, Monty, DAR, 6DJ (wherever you are), and even you 2Dim and Tiny.
Officer Donut, there is a special place in he11 reserved for people like you who become police officers.
Cheerio!
Sarge – i hope you choke on a cok and die. Adios senorita pendleton.
Bye all.
Feel free to stop by Think Again and say hi. I imagine I will still haunt that one although it’s been on a long slow fizzle for some time now.
I can recommend mnpublius.com. It’s a reasonable blog with some intelligent content and some some pretty sharp posters.

Tried to log in to the new blog with my Big Question name and password, but was rejected. Tried to log in as a new user, and was rejected on grounds I was already there, although I had never been there.
I guess Big Question bloggers must be eliminated for some reason.
New site does not look interesting, anyway.
Bye to all — its been interesting these many years.
John,
Hope to see you over at Katherine Kerstin’s blog. It’s always been much better anyway.
Looks like KK’s gone. Wonder why this still works?
I’m surprised this one is left alone, while the pushed KK into the memory hole. The most popular comments section and they disappear it.
I looked at the other “blogs” and they’re a joke.
“I looked at the other “blogs†and they’re a joke”
Big time.
Weird that this one is still up but TA is gone.

Greg started a blog if your interested.
